Problem of bad breath

The problem of bad breath might be persistent. However there are ways to fight it. The most important factor is maintaining proper hygiene of oral cavity. It is advised to follow basic rules such as brushing teeth two times a day and regular use of dental floss. Cleaning the tongue is also advised. Thanks to it food remnants are being removed. It might turn out that the bad breath has its origin in tooth diseases amongst of which are cavities and tartar, then it is crucial to visit dental clinic. Other diseases (e.g. diabetes or tuberculosis) might also be a reason for bad breath – a visit to a doctor is needed then. A good idea is drinking water as it allows the bacteria to scour and prevents tissues from drying. It is also worth to avoid coffee, strong tea, alcohol and smoking, as they make for decreasing the amount of water in organism. To boost the production of saliva you can eat an apple or chew sugar-free gum. In fighting the described problem rinsing the throat with herb infusions such as chamomile or sage, as they characterize with strong antibacterial and disinfectant properties. Diet is also extremely important. Spicy food, smoked fish or onions increase bad breath – that is why they should be omitted.
