From the announcement of the state of danger in our country, and then the outbreak of SARS-CoV-2, as a dental practitioner responsible for clinical work and dental practice, I have been pursuing the principle of medical responsibility in the profession, but also, and perhaps first of all, of “being a human in society” in the broad sense. We understand medical responsibility in our team as a care of the safety and patient’s welfare. In the current coronavirus pandemic, we carry out this mission by providing thoughtful and safe assistance as a matter of urgency or accelerated assistance to all those who are absolutely require widely understood dental help. For this purpose, we have implemented in the clinic all available and recommended procedures related to coronavirus epidemic in the medical world (necessary epidemiological interview, clinical trial) and equipment for the clinic and all of its medical staff. The difficulties with the availability of the materials and equipment are a major challenge for all, but their acquisition is necessary to ensure the safety we all need.

In addition to professional responsibility by assuming social responsibility, in accordance with the principle: “being a human means to be responsible” in the emergency situation of the current epidemic, we suspended the planned therapeutic procedures for dentistry, solely for the safety of patients, all workers and their relatives, who, because of the specificity of our dental activities, are particularly vulnerable to being infected.

We are convinced that by understanding and following the necessary procedures, isolation orders, restrictions and staying at homes we can effectively prevent the spread of the pandemic and in the best way help those of medical staff  who  are risking their life in many countries’. At this difficult time of both professional and social resignation, experiencing financial and economic problems, through distance and isolation, paradoxically without physical touch, we are shaking hands in the best possible way… | + wpisy
